Jeep- the bouncier car

Analysis on Myth ads

In the Burger king commercial it used the methodology that if men want to be masculine they should eat meat preferably there burger's. They should avoid the feminine foods such like salad, tofu and quiche. Men are ideally recognized to be strong and big. The ad shows men that by eating meat , they will be real men . Most people when watching this ad can grasp the idea that in the American society there are differences on the types of food that are preferred to be eaten by men and foods that are made for women. In this ad , men can infer that they are not able to be masculine if they don't eat meat such as Burger Kings "Double whopper" . The ads proves its point by showing a man who is tied to an 18 wheeler truck and push it to reach for the "masculine" Double whopper.

Analysis on Beer ad

This ad is meant for men who love beer .This beer ad is being shown because there are so many beer companies in the world and Troegenerator beer wants consumers to buy theirs because after all , all men want beautiful women. This ad uses women and other effects to grab the attention of men and show how their beer is the best. We hear a white man drinking the cup of beer while an not taken care of woman is standing in front of him and once he finishes the beer a young beautiful appears and starts acting seductively and teases the man. The intended and underlying meaning of this ad is trying to tell men that if they possibly have ugly wives or girlfriends and they drink this beer it will impair their vision and suddenly your wives or girlfriends will transform into this gorgeous women. When looking at this ad , the assumption is made that women are used in various ads as if to tell society that they are only used for their bodies to grab the attention of most users. This commercial doesn't use celebrities or any high standard important people but oppositely use middle class random men to to try tell them regardless of race , color and culture that if you drink this beer it will most definitely only let you project women as looking flawlessly.

Warning.....beer may impair vision

Race in Advertising

Race ads used by companies project many ideas on stereotypes. Such ads like the Uncle Ben's rice , a butler appears on the cover which subconsciously tells the consumer that they will be there at their service. This ad wants to get white Americans to buy there rice. There are many different ways in which race ads stereotype on various races. For instance, in the old navy commercial ad , the only one that was wearing a long sleeved shirt was a young teenage African American. This ad seems to state that African Americans shouldn't be undressed in front of a white women. These kind of race ads grab the attention of certain groups .

Summary on Obesity

This ad talks about the effects of fast food restaurants, such as McDonald's . It shows young children suffering the life of obesity. They constantly eat trans fat foods. It displays this one girl who because of her weight cannot breathe on her own. This ad mostly relates to kids who share the same problem, but also parents of such kids to be aware of obesity and preventing their kids from eating such foods. The music that plays is upbeat , which I think gives off the wrong vibe and idea. The kids watching this ad will not take it seriously and will instead just dance to it instead of taking it into great consideration.

Mcdonalds , one word.....TRANSFAT

Patrioitism ads Vs. Fear attack ads

I think fear ads are more effective because it can show in the littlest detail about how any candidate either Obama or McCain is bad and associated with crimes. The ads are scarier , music is very dramatic and the images are very graphic. Where as Patriotic ads are less effective because it can only show what there goals are but not actually live up to it. When I saw of the Fear attack on Obama and he was connected to Terrorists , I was pretty convinced. Patriotic ads are more for undecided voter because it can give them a taste of what the candidates offer to the United States.

Summary on Theres a cooler way to die

This commercial ad is telling people this old guy that just quit smoking/ weed and is having a difficult time so he takes his anger out on his office and coworkers. He is very stressed and therefore launches mean behaviors towards random people .This ad has very little effect on convincing people to stop smoking but instead in the end it says to quit smoking by taking Zyban a prescribed drug. This video was extremely funny and telling people that are trying to quit to yes, you can take out your anger on others if its too much for you to handle. Zyban is a drug to get off nicotine and reduce its side effects. All I did was laugh all through this video and I'm sure others did as well.

Analysis on the Drunk Driving commercial

This commercial ad is meant to encourage young teenagers to take more precaution when on the road and stop drunk driving. The video portrays a bunch a teenagers in a car driving and having fun with no one having their eyes on the road . This is one of the main reasons why millions of accidents happen annually . The voice is an English lady, a very sweet voice . the effects aren't as scary if it were a much deeper voice. Towards the end , it shows the unfortunate results which makes you want to think twice before getting on the road.

Analysis of Fear ads

I think that Fear is a legitimate tactic in election campaigns. Fear sometimes and most of the time isn’t true and are made up to make voters scared and change their view on a elected official. Both Barack Obama and John McCain use fear techniques to slander each other. Obama disparages McCain by saying that him and his Republican party are hypocritical and they just want your vote and they continue to follow George Bush’s regime. Similarly John McCain , attacks Obama on how he lied through most of his promises, that he promised for a change but did nothing .Obama's new imposed taxes and health care mandate will kill jobs and that will be extremely risky for small business and kill jobs.

Summary of - The Early Word: The Cost of Going Negative

I think that the role of negative advertisement is bad and wrong. Instead of criticizing others about how they run their campaign or slogan and attacking them , just focus on what you are running for, and try to improve it in any way possible. Yes, some negative advertising can be done but not to the extreme. For ex, elected official John McCain ,in this New York times article states that he spent more time attacking than actually focusing on his campaign and trying to raise more money.
